Senior School
Welcome to the Senior School at Victoria International School of Sharjah (VISS). VISS Senior School comprises of Grades 10, 11 and 12. Grade 10 is the final year of the Australian Curriculum and also a preparatory year for the programmes offered in Grade 11 and 12.
At VISS there are two pathways available for students for their study in Grades 11 and 12 in order to achieve a high school qualification. The IB Diploma Programme and an American Distinguished Diploma called the Global Citizen Diploma Programme. Through these academically rigourous and holistic programmes it our aim to foster lifelong learning in students and provide them the qualifications necessary to pursue higher education at university.
“Senior school years are crucial for students as they mark the transition from high school to university.”
In addition to the robust curriculum, we offer a wide range of experiential learning opportunities to students. It is essential that students embrace those opportunities in order to have a holistic educational experience at VISS. What’s more, individualised career guidance and support with university choices and applications is available throughout for students in senior school.
The formal curriculum, experiential learning opportunities and support available for senior students is tied with our vision to graduate students who are critical thinkers, confident, reflective and responsible global citizens, capable of facing the future with resilience and optimism.
